The Augsburg Confession, also known as the "Augustana" from its Latin name, Confessio Augustana, is the primary confession of faith of the Lutheran Church and one of the most important documents of the Lutheran reformation. The Augsburg Confession was written in both German and Latin and was presented by a number of German rulers and free-cities at the Diet of Augsburg on June 25, 1530. The Holy Roman Emperor Charles V had called on the Princes and Free Territories in Germany to explain their religious convictions in an attempt to restore religious and political unity in the Holy Roman Empire and rally support against the Turkish invasion. It is the fourth document contained in the Lutheran Book of Concord. From Wikipedia under the

Jesus said not to let other people judge us concerning this kind of stuff. The point of the whole thing is that God used analogies in the past to help people understand the REAL thing. Sorta like how you can show someone a picture of you over the internet, but the picture is not YOU...in order for them to see the real you they have to visit you in person. For example: (physical temple) = It represented Jesus himself...His body. (the Sabbath) = It represents Christians resting from thinking they have to do good works to get into Heaven...we rest, Jesus did the work...and we worship God for it. God gets the glory. So for you to try to bring back this "You have to have the Sabbath on Saturday" is ridiculous. And it shows that you… [cont.] Answered by short cake - Wed Sep 9 12:16:23 2009 Why are these preacher lying about the Keepin Sunday instead of Saturday, the Sabbath? When the bible says...?
Q. Exodus 20:8-11 8 Remember The Sabbath Day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 But the Seventh Day is the Sabbath of Yahweh your Heavenly Father. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your wife, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your cattle, nor the stranger who dwells within your gates. 11 For in six days Yahweh made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them; and rested the Seventh Day. Therefore, Yahweh blessed the Sabbath Day, and hallowed it; Yahweh made the Sabbath Day holy. It seems to me that Yahweh's command to keep the seventh day holy is as plain as it can get.
